ABOUT US

When our founder, Sherri Wendorff, visited Peru two decades ago, she returned with new resolve to go back and do some good. She immediately connected a web of community members to unite with her to bring help and relief to those in need and started the Southern Alberta Society for High Andes Relief (2008). In 2013 it was registered as an official charity, and has been operating successfully with dozens of projects completed.

With self-sustaining projects now completed in Peru, and with additional team members in Canada, Rwanda and Uganda, we have begun to provide additional service and project initiatives in Africa, under the new name of Elevate Hope International.

In our work, we aim to break the cycle of poverty of exploited, destitute and marginalized women and children in developing nations through education, teaching marketable life skills, access to health care and by providing the necessities of life.

Marginalized children have little primary education due to poverty, hunger, child labour and often abuse. We believe as people are educated they become confident, self reliant and financially independent. Life skills are the abilities for positive behaviour that enables people to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of life. We believe as individuals learn life skills they can become productive members of their community.

The organization Elevate Hope International is a Canadian registered charity (807954623 RR0001) that raises funds to support and educate women, children and poor in Africa. We have numerous ongoing projects in both Uganda and Rwanda that help those we support to become self-reliant and confident members of society. Our information can be verified on CRA’s list of charities

With your financial donation we can support these projects, change futures and elevate hope.
